Bookmark file analyzer
Drop a bookmarks.html export. Markwise counts folders, finds duplicates after stripping tracking parameters, and shows which domains ate the bar — all on this page.
Then save the useful bits
These tools do not create a Markwise account. When you want the file in a library you can ask, start free and save a link. The file you just inspected is still on your machine.
Questions
Does this upload my bookmarks?+
No. The file is read in your browser with the File API. Markwise never sees the contents. If you later import the same file into an account, that is a separate, explicit step.
Which export format does it accept?+
The Netscape bookmark HTML that Chrome, Edge, Brave, Firefox, and Safari export. In Chrome: Bookmarks manager → ⋮ → Export bookmarks.
How are duplicates detected?+
Two saves count as duplicates when their URLs match after lowercasing the host, dropping www, trailing slashes, and common tracking parameters (utm_*, fbclid, gclid, and similar).
