YouTube thumbnail URLs
Paste a YouTube URL. We construct the public thumbnail CDN links (maxres, SD, HQ, MQ, default). Your browser loads them from Google, not from us.
Then save the useful bits
These tools do not create a Markwise account. When you want the file in a library you can ask, start free and save a link. The file you just inspected is still on your machine.
Questions
Why is maxres sometimes missing?+
YouTube only publishes maxresdefault.jpg for some videos. HQ is the reliable fallback.
Is this scraping YouTube?+
No. Thumbnail URLs are a documented public pattern on i.ytimg.com. We do not call an API or download the file on our servers.
