Tab overload calculator

Twenty tabs is not a to-do list. This calculator turns a count into a rough memory working-set and the minutes you burn re-orienting — then points at Focus Sessions.

150 MB per tab is a conservative Chromium working-set, not a profiler. 25 seconds per tab is the attention tax of coming back to a window. Park the window as a Focus Session instead of keeping it warm.

Questions

Is the memory number exact?+

No. Chromium's per-tab cost depends on the page. We use 150 MB as a conservative working-set so the order of magnitude is honest, not a profiler.

What is a Focus Session?+

A set of tabs saved from the Markwise Chrome extension. Markwise titles and summarizes the session so you can restore the work later instead of keeping the window alive.
